Editing samples
We've put several before-and-after samples together to demonstrate HealthEdit's editorial acumen. You can view a sample of our:
- Light editing. In a fairly light edit, here's how we made a passive voice more active, removed unnecessary words, and filled in minor conceptual gaps that might otherwise have left the reader with more questions than answers.
- More extensive editing. We could see from an author's original text that substantial contextual gaps existed and needed to be fixed. We performed more extensive editing to meet the client's needs.
- Editing for better editorial flow. When the writing is good but the organization, or editorial flow, is off, we can recognize that too. Here's how we fixed just such an occasion.
- Editing presentation slides. Presentation slides have their own set of rules for editing. This sample shows how we edited a raw slide from an author into one more suited for a professional presentation.
